The Chief Editor is in charge of maintaining Jottonian citizen's source of news - Jottonian Times. He is responsible for editing articles submitted by journalists and publishing them. As the Chief Editor gets business news first-hand, he must be the one who observes high moral standards, in order to ensure that insider trading does not take place. He is responsible for the recruitment and dismissal of journalists.
